Craig Ashley David (born May 5 1981 in Southampton) is a mixed race British rnb singer, his father is Black (West Indian) & his mother is Jewish. He rose to fame when a singer on the Artful Dodger's "Rewind" which reached number deuce in the UK in late 1999. David sent within the self written song known as "I'm Ready" for the competition Damage was running, which was so utilized as a b-side in their top threesome hit "Wonderful Tonight".
